Hay-Ku of The Day (A Selection from OOMM, Chapter 2, “Through a Glass Darkly, But then Face to Face”)

The human mind is
A mental house divided
By relative thought.

Form-fixated mind
Loses sight and sense of the
Field of Awareness.

Minding this to the
Exclusion of that ignores
The Knowledge I Am.

Sequential shifting
Of mental focal points is
How we create time.

Paying attention
Is equivalent to self —
Sacrifice and Love.

Thought polarizes mind
Into sequential states of
Partial Consciousness.

Thinking of myself
In relative terms I am
Subject to objects.

Self-knowledge is the
Missing ingredient that makes
Most ideas half-baked.

Thinking is a kind
Of sleep in which mankind dreams
Of being awake.

Thinking causes one
To burn mental moth holes in
The Present Moment.

Man mistakes thinking
For Being and then fears the
Loss of thought as death.

Thinking of Being
Consciously Aware is not
Really being That.

A Master of Mind
Or a slave to circumstance —
One or the other.

Egocentric thought
Subjects One to the laws of
Relative Being.

Add-On:

If I can’t control
My thoughts, what makes me believe
I am their thinker?

[Rich Note: The second in a chapter by chapter sampling of “Out of My Mind and Back to My Senses.” I would further encourage anyone whose interest might be piqued  to download the Amazon Kindle sample of OOMM, as it effectively constitutes a synoptic, 59 page “mini-book .”]
