Hay-Ku of The Day (A Selection from OOMM, Chapter 1, “In the Beginning Was the Word”)

To see harmony
In chaos or God in Man
Be mentally still.

Infinite Rays Shine,
Blazing from One Central Sun,
Universal Light.

Mirroring my Face,
Clouds of Divine Energy
Suspended in Space.

This Present Moment,
Precious Jewel time overlooks,
Hidden in Plain Sight.

Tangled up in thought,
A stranger in a far land,
Subject to nightmares.

The good and bad thieves
Of the future and past are
Stealing the present.

Caught-up in details,
A web of my own weaving,
Lunch for the spider.

My Soulful anguish,
Mid-wife to Eternal Glory,
Cosmic labor pains.

Holy Cloud by day,
A Pillar of Fire by night —
Divine Comforter.

Playful old puppies,
She frolics, he gently paws —
Love in furry coats.

A basement cricket
Competing with my daydreams,
Who is more alive?

Clanging pots and pans
Startle my thoughtful repose —
Another wake-up call.

[Rich Note: Thought we’d start 2018 with a chapter by chapter sampling of “Out of My Mind and Back to My Senses.m” (OOMM). I would also encourage anyone with more than a passing interest in what is shared to download the Amazon Kindle Sample of OOMM, as it actually constitutes a complementary 59 page “mini-book” that includes: seminal abstracts drawings, metaphysical metaphors and more than 165, cross-correlating, triangulating, haiku-like pointers to the One Changeless, Timeless Truth experienced during 1966, 1970 and 1978 Epiphanies.]
