Hay-Ku of the Day (Still and Always)

Without any Self-
Reference Mental Focal
Length is Infinite.

Without any Self-
Reference Breadth of Vision
Length is Infinite.

***

Observing without
Self-Referential Thought is
Being the Seeing,

Observing without
Self-Referential Thought is
Being Awareness.

Self-reflective thought
Requires mental motion that
Stillness terminates

***

Self-reference births
A pseudo dichotomy
Mental Stillness ends.

Self-reflective thought
Shortens mental focus length
And breadth of vision.

Relaxing self-thought
Extends mental focal length
Beyond Conception.

***

To "Be Still" is to
Revert to an Infinite
Mental Focal Length.

Taking a moment
To relax mental focus
And Notice Being.

***

The "All Seeing-Eye"
Sees "Alpha to Omega"
In "No Time at All."

The "All Seeing-Eye"
Has Infinite focal length
And "Sees All at Once."

"8. Mental Camera: The lense of one's mind may be likened to the lense on a camera. Zoomed in for a close-up, breath of vision narrows, while foreground expands, magnifies and is brought into sharp relief. The cost of this "up close and personal" vision of reality, however, is that the peripheral field is largely ignored or blanked out -- physically in the case of the camera and mentally in the case of the mind. Reverse this process and quite the opposite becomes true. For the lense of ones mind, as with that of a camera, can also be opened to the level of infinity. In which case, the maximum field of vision returns and maximum context and meaning is attained." 1992, U/D 4/10/9, 2017

[Rich Note: The "time standing still" component of the Vietnam emergency bailout experience implied just such an "Infinite Mental Focal," as self-referencing mind and thought, as a simple survival mechanism, had fail-safed off, , due to insufficient time and data to process.]

Hay-Ku of the Day (Anna's Eulogy to Here Beloved Jody Kish)

Anna and Jody
Show us physical distance
Cannot limit Love.

Anna and Jody
Show us time and space are not
Barriers to Love.

"My Schnucki is gone. His LOVE will stay around. We will meet again like we did before! Have fun now my Jody-Liebling on "the other side". Thank you for almost 3 years of pure love. You transformed my heart. Thank you for the greatest intimacy I have ever lived. You will always be a part of me, my second "kid", my family. I just keep on loving you...Love.

"Jody will be so proud of the ties he made between him, me and his friends. His great love dissolved 3911 physical miles and I never felt somebody being a part of me as much as I do with him. Thank you all for the love you share here with me and Jody, thank you for appreciating the unique relationship I have with him.

"I want you all to know that I feel really close to all of you and Ocean City (NJ). I am sure Jody will be watching his funeral when all his friends will gather and it will make him so happy that he - once again - will unite people in the name of LOVE. We feel the loss of him not being around any more now of course, he often said to me: "Why else would I have come to this world but for the PEOPLE?".

"He taught us how to be non-judgemental, loving, caring and understanding. He felt that people needed him more than he needed them. He will want us to spread his message: "Talk to people, be interested in their lives, understand them."

"We all have to be strong now and get over the grieving, returning to LOVE. Jody was ALL love, now he is free and "ease and flow". GOD bless you all my friends. Hope, we will meet someday."

Hay-Ku of the Day (A Jody Kish "Farewell Address" Memorial)

(1) Haiku-Wise:

Sweet, Gentle Jody
Never lost the "Child Heart of
God in All" most do.

From "GD's" to "Loving
The Father" with "All his Heart
Mind, Body and Soul."

Jody, who often said:
"How you going to tell 'em
That?" telling them that.

How could "Gentle
Jody" be about to "shuffle
Off his mortal coil?

(2) Sandy Jones-Wise:

"Wow, that is so beautiful - "You got nothing else" wow! Exactly - he got it, he is It -- There is nothing else but God -Nothing else - that's it -

(3) Patience Worth-Wise:

Here's a fitting eulogy and related poems I am fond of by Patience Worth (a 14th Century English Literary Spirit/Angel):

A. "A Eulogy"

"This be a day to exult,
For the Here be far richer
And the Knight hath rid
Home wearing the colors,
His shield battered,
his Trappings worn,
but his Spear bright."

B. "Is Thy Quest Honest?"

Through that vast vale, black, pit-like,
Wouldst thou hold a taper?
Wouldst thou
Lend thy hand to them that seek?
Is that yearning born of Truth?
Eating thy heart in hungry anticipation
That thou shouldst leave a beacon
On the sands?
Oh, dost thou behold the regal
Barque of day floating upon the sea of  Eternity
And no beacon, no light, no chart?
In benediction do I bow before thee!"

C. "The Death Experience?"

"A bit wary wi' the fetters,
A yawn, a blink and the wakin'."

D. "A Pultry Pence"

"What a paltry pence
Is death to buy eternity;
What a light price to pay
For an everlasting abiding place."

(4) Scripture-Wise:

A. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." Revelation 1:18 KJV

B. "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Co. 15:54)

(5) Introductory Letter/Note-Wise:

"To Still and Always, Present Friends:

"The following spontaneous "Farewell Address" is the "Divine Cherry on Top of the Ice Cream Soda" of four years, and probably a 1000 hours, of dialogue with my OCNJ Buddy, Sweet, Soft and Gentle, Jody Kish -- Who Loved the Ladies, People, Life and Planet Earth by natural inclination; but, in the end, truly Loved God with "All His Heart, Mind, Body and Soul."

"In many ways, one might call the audio below Jody's 'stuck in an elevator sharing of a lifetime summary message with a stranger' -- the stranger, in this case being, the world and people in it that Jody loved so very much.

[Rich Note: Not sure how to do so yet, but I'd like to see Jody's spontaneous "Last Testament to the Planet" go viral -- as friend, Robert, who had just been moved to tears, felt it might.]

With Love to All, Rich

(6) "F-Bombs"-Wise:

Fair warning on a bit of "street language," so innocent and in character for, Jody, who never really stopped being a "street guy." Yet, to forego this "one of a kind, profound and inspirational message," from one whose body succumbed to cancer only a week later, for this reason, would really be shame.

7) Gentle Jody's Farewell Address:

Does Jody sound like his body will succumb to cancer in a week?"

Hay-Ku of the Day (A Selection of Favorite OOMM Endorsements)

"Richard’s Haiku are as little Blossoms on the Tree of Life. From the One source they arise, expressed through one man’s later life...

"...Echoes praising God through his own voice. Reading them, One smiles in remembrance.

"The following selection says it all. Read the book for the simple joy of it.

"Pure awareness wed
To limitless sensation
Gives birth to being.

“I am that by which
I know I am” conscious of
Present existence.

"For man to know God
It must really be God who
Knows Himself in man.

"Though reflected in
The circumstance, God is
Found at the center."

Michael -- Author of a little known Non-Dual classic entitled, "Allone."

[Rich Note: Several shorter favorites:

(1) This first-hand account of life’s realities experienced by Richard in warfare and years of reflection as an airline pilot is powerful in its portrayal of gratifying, sobering and, at times, shocking truths we all need to face in life.” -- Rev. Dr. John R Howell, Executive Chairman, Transforming Leadership, Inc

(2) "We exist in a modern world of overpowering and relentless gray noise, bombarded and abased at every turn with a plethora of meaningless flat shades of vacant information, an overcast of empty platitudes.  Through this morass of numbing proportions comes Richard’s brilliant anthology – a sunburst of radiant colors to wash away the gray.  Truth erupts from the pages in dazzling pyrotechnic fashion.”  -- Frank Lyons, UAL 777 Captain; President, FJL Consulting, USAF , retired."

(3)  "Out of My Mind and Back to My Senses is a rare treasure. Flawlessly combining poetry and philosophy this work is both artistically inspiring and thought provoking. A must read for any thinking person. Richard is by far one of the most innovative thinkers I have ever encountered ….His work is fresh, beautiful, intelligent and ingenious.” -- Lynette Robinson, 2005 Princeton graduate

(4) "One has to know how well rounded Richard is to fully appreciate his fertile and productive mind. His ability to encapsulate complicated and controversial issues is represented in his style of haiku. They are thought provoking and emotionally stimulating. His ability to get to the core of issues is well suited to this form of poetry. This collection is timeless.” -- Ira L. Fox M.D., Psychiatrist

Hay-Ku of the Day (Divine Mind or All Originating Principle)

Divine Mind is a
Still Point Reference in a
Field of Awareness.

Divine Mind is a
Still Point Reference at the
Heart of Awareness.

Divine Mind is a
Still Point Eye of Peace at the
Heart of Awareness.

***

A Silent Mind has
An Infinite Focal Length
And Breadth of Vision.

A Empty Mind has
An Infinite Focal Length
And Breadth of Vision.

An Open Mind has
An Infinite Focal Length
And Breadth of Vision.

(1) Poetry-Wise:

SILENT MIND

An Empty Mind
Is also Clear:
Without Thought
There is No Fear.

A Quiet Mind
Lives in Peace:
Makes the Most
Of even Least.

A Silent Mind
Has No Bound;
Open and Still
Itself is Found.

Circa 1982

(2) Scripture-Wise:

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" (Philippians 2:5 KJV)

Since only God's Mind has an Infinite Focal Length and Breath of Vision, only God can Contain, See, Know and Be a Boundless Potential to Be Vibrationally, All at One Time, in No Time.

Ergo: If Jesus knew God the Father, as Scripture suggests, then It must be the Mind of the Father Manifesting in, as and through Jesus, knowing Itself; and That, My Friends, is the very Same Divine Mind We are all called to "Let Be in Us"; and That, by Being Mentally Still, Silent, Empty and Completely Open to the Totality of All That Is, Was or Ever Will Be, All at One Time, in No Time.

"Be still, and know that I am (prior to thought is) God:.." Psalm 46:10 KJV

(3) SYD Banks-Wise:

"Universal Mind is the energy and intelligence of all life, whether in the form or formless. The Universal Mind, or the impersonal mind is constant, and unchangeable. The personal mind is in a perpetual state of change."

Hay-Ku of the Day (Knowing I Am That)

Knowing "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as

By Which I Know I Am" as
Absolute Stillness.

By Which I Know I Am" as
Absolute Silence.

***

Seeing  "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
Awareness Itself.

Feeling "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
Father's Awareness.

Feeling "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
The Motion at Rest.

***

Knowing "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
The Stillness of God.
Feeling "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
The Silence of God.

Seeing "I Am That
By Which I Know I Am" as
The Glory of God.
