[Rich Note: I shared a Dr. Wayne Dyer video titled "Understanding the Power of the Words I Am" recently, and while accompanying comments on the original post were mostly positive, there were two, I am sure, well-intention though misguided comments, that suggested a distinct lack of understanding with respect to what God's own self-declared Name and Nature as "I AM" necessarily implies.

Hopefully, the following Scripture passages, viewed in close proximity to each other, with related expository comments, may serve to expand the self-limiting conceptual envelope of the "2000 year old, dogmatically accepted, carnally-derived, self-serving  interpretation" (i.e. that "Jesus is a special exception and substantially other than the I am as a human being," etc.) of St. Peter's, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God," answer to Jesus', "But whom say ye that I Am?" question.  

Here are the two references comments:

(1) "Blasphemy..." (How dare you profane God's self-declared Divine Name and Nature as "I AM" (Awareness of Being, Consciousness or Divine Mind) by ascribing that most Holy Name (or Word) to one "only made in image and likeness" of God Almighty? -- paraphrased, but representative of the line of thought expressed.) 

(2) "I don't know what he said, but man is not the great "I am"

..... God spoke the words to Moses in the Old Testament.  God is 

"I am"( everything we need-) fill in the blank."]

[Rich Note: Actually, it is best to never "fill in that blank" and, thereby, declare in the Name of the Lord that "I am this or that" or any other lessor state of being.]

Obviously, "a particular man" (human being or personage) is not and never could the "Great I AM" as God so clearly declares in Hosea 11:9 KJV: "...I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee..." However, having granted that "man (and certainly not as he still carnally imagines himself to be) is not God," let us look a bit further and deeper into what "...the Holy One in the midst of thee..." necessarily means in the case of an Absolute God.

 If "man is made in the image and likeness of God" and God's Name (which indicates the Nature or Essential Vibratory Quality of what is Named) is "I AM" (the "First Person Singular of the Present Tense to Be" or Being) and, further, "God is Light," then "God, Christ (as the Godhead fully embodied in the personage of Jesus) and Man," All have the same Name (I AM/I Am/I am) and Nature (Light) of God.

This is much akin to a "wave" being "one with" and so having the same "name and nature" (water) as the "Ocean," but as a "particle state wave" and not as the "Quantum State Ocean." So too is a particle state ray of the sun, as a quantum field of light and energy as sunlight, one with the sun, in both name and nature as light. Yet, neither is that particle state ray of sunlight the sun in its quantum totality; though it can project a potentially perfect image of that self-same sun in still (mental) waters as light. 

(1) Ye Are the Light of the World:

" In him was life; and the life was the light of men." John 1:4 KJV

"That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." John 1:9 KJV

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5 KJV

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12 KJV

"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:5 KJV

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 KJV

(3) "I Am" Called By Thy Name:

"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts." Jeremiah 15:16 KJV

"Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." Exodus 20:7 KJV

Seen in this light, we take the Name ("I am") of the Lord in vain every time we say; "I am sad, sick, tired, lacking, separate, unhappy, depressed, confused, a sinner...or anything else less then God and so unworthy of the Name. And, unwittingly, we do so solely on the basis of the "partial, incomplete and imperfect" report of "relative, self-reflective (read carnal) thought, sense and feeling." Which, in and of itself, "...is a liar and the father of it..."; a carnal lie of "separate self-sense" that both projects and reflects in its own "flawed, incomplete, imperfect, self-imagined (both individual and collective), vain and partial perspective (perception and conception) of existence and being.

(4) Ye are Children of God:

"Ye are the children of the Lord your God..." Deuteronomy 14:1 KJV

"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." Psalm 82:6 KJV

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 KJV

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" Romans 8:16 KJV

"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him , that we may be also glorified together." Romans 8:17 KJV

A Child (of God) has the same Name (I Am) and Nature (Light) as Its Father (as the Father of Lights).

(5) Ye Are the Temple of God:

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them ; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." 2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." John 16:7 KJV

(6) Greater Works Than These Ye Shall Do:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." John 14:12 KJV

If Jesus, as the Historically Personified Son of God, declares that "I am" destined to do greater things then He, then "I as I Am in Spirit and Truth" must also be a Son or Child of God (as Scripture repeatedly declares).

(7) Let this mind be in you: 

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" Philippians 2:5 KJV

If Jesus knew God, and only God can know God, then it must have been God (or the Mind of God) in the man Jesus Christ Knowing Himself. And that is the same Mind (the Mind, Consciousness, Awareness of God I Am or "Christ in You") all mankind is called to "let be in us."

Let's "cut to the chase"
By cutting out "The Story
Of Me" middleman.

Let's "Cut to the Joy"
By cutting out the "Me that
Says My" middleman.

The  "joy, happiness and satisfaction" that arises with the attainment of a long cherished desire or goal is not the result of having attained that particular object of desire, as normally supposed. But rather as a momentary revelation of One's Ever-Abiding Nature as the "Life, Light, Love, Joy and Peace" that any such "Holy Instant of Desirelessness" naturally reveals (or resurrects)

So, once and for all, why don't we finally cut to the chase, stop franchising and/or outsourcing the  "Innate Joy of Our Being" to the vagaries of temporal appearance (which is, quite literally, "selling our soul for a farthing"). And so cease to look for the "Naturally Overflowing Joy of Our Own Hearts" within, instead of  endlessly chasing it's "rainbow-like self-reflection" in the outer mirror of apparent circumstance.

Refers to a state of mind

Space for God's Presence.

 "I have 150+ "metaphysical metaphors," similar to the camera lens metaphor [20 or so that were used as chapter introductions to the 2006 "Out of My Mind and Back to My Senses" (OOMM) book, I call a "40 Year State of the Head Message"]; written at the behest of a dear friend that asked me to distill the "flow of consciousness insights" I had been blessed to receive down to their essence (so others might understand them better) -- a process that reached its zenith with the "hay-ku haiku" that started in 1997.

Short Form: What you see when you look through a pair of binoculars is real, the circles are not, as they are a self-projection of the perceptual mechanism. So too the human or carnal mind, which is likewise a perceptual mechanism,  that similarity projects it dual nature on the Essential Unity of All Existence -- the "Aware Presence of Being I Am" (Awareness of Being or Consciousness) You Are and Is.

Long Form: "A dual state of mind projects its relative limits in much the same way that looking through a pair of binoculars projects its circular limits. The mental screen of relative words and thoughts through which we look is similarly projected on the limitless horizons of consciousness. What we see is real, though the mental boundaries we unwittingly project are not. From this one might surmise that life is really some form of self-projection, both individual and collective, and that the world serves as a mirror in which it reflects. In this regard, both Scripture, which declares, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he . . .” (Pr.23:7), and quantum physics, which concludes that “the observer conditions his observations,” bear witness to the likelihood of this premise."

[Rich Note: I spent 8 hours yesterday with my good friend and brother, Dr. Stanley El, videoing another of the extremely insightful and patriotic "Making of America" seminars he periodical does for the "National Center for Constitutional Studies." A spirited event (attended by an Iranian expatriate, writer and poet in attendance, who likely appreciates American freedoms more than most Americans -- for obvious reasons), as you can see from today's outpouring. As Dr. Stanley's seminar served to rekindled my appreciation of the blessing living in the "land of the free and the home of the brave" truly is.  And, even more so, in light of this year's election and the way it so clearly high-lights the "true fork in the road, moment of truth, turning point" in America's history our choice of next President will represent.

Hopefully, seen in light of what's really at stake, "We the People," will see through all the "political smoke, mirrors and spin-doctoring" and stop succumbing to the petty concerns of personal self-interest.  And, in so doing, choose to honor, with our lives and with our votes, the "Principles of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" upon which this Nation was founded. And, in so doing, overcome any and all temptation to continue "our blind stampede" (like a spooked herd of cattle) down the "not so subtle socialistic path" on which we have been lead for the last 8 years -- a journey whose only clear result has been mind-blowing increases in the national debt and a potentially catastrophic erosion of Constitutionally guaranteed American Freedoms and Rights.

Needless to say, I am tired of this de facto surrendering of the same American Rights and Freedoms I, and fellow American's fought and died for to elected servants of "We the People" who arrogantly seem to believe and act as if "we need to be taken care of,"  because we don't have the innate good sense and backbone to "take care of ourselves."

As a closing aside, the beautiful thing about brother Dr. Stanley, as he never fails to mention during his patriotic seminars, is that in nowhere but America, at this point in her history, could a "person of color, such as he" be called on to remind us all of the Constitutional Principles that guarantee and defend America's Freedom from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.]
