Hay-Ku of the Day (Boundless Self-Reference)

A Dimensionless
Frame of Self-Reference sets
Mental captives Free.

A Dimensionless
Frame of Self-Reference sets
Carnal captives Free.

A Dimensionless
Frame of Self-Reference is
Required for Freedom.

A Dimensionless
Frame of Self-Reference leaves
Only Awareness.

Hay-Ku of the Day (Divine Self-Knowledge)

I Am Being the
Self-Knowledge of God whether
I Know It or not.

I Am Being the
Self-Knowing of God whether
I think so or not.

Alive as the Self-
Awareness of God whether
I Know It or not.

Present as the Self-
Awareness of God with or
Without Knowing It.

I Am Being the
Self-Knowledge of God as This
Present Awareness.

I Am Present as
The Self-Knowing of God Now
Being Awareness.

Present and Aware
As the Self-Knowledge of God
Being Awareness.

Hay-Ku of the Day (A Substantive Divine Transparency I Am)

I Am a Frameless
Open-Window of Divine
Self-Transparency.

Divine I Am as
A Frameless Open-Window
Of Transparency.

Divine I Am as
The Glassy Essence of Life
Underlying All.

Being Itself is
A Substantive Transparency
An All-Seeing "I."

Being Transparent
Is Substantive Nothingness
Ego can Live with.

Open Windows are
Substantive Transparencies
"I" can relate to.

I Am a Living
Transparency through which the
Holy Spirit Shines

Conscious Aliveness
Is a transparency through
Which the Father Sees.

An open window
When still and a reflective
Mirror when moving.

Transparent I Am
As a Divine Window of
Present Awareness.

Transparent I Am
As a Divine Window of
Absolute Seeing.

Being Transparent
As an Open-Window of
Divine Potential.

Consciousness is a
Vibrant Transparency through
Which One Is Looking.

Identify as
The Transparent Seeing of
What Is As It Is.

Mind's Glassy Essence
Is coated with a silver
Layer of self-thought.

Sans self-reference
Mind is a Self-Transparent
Window of Being.

In the way the eye
Is self-transparent so must
The human mind be.

To see myself as
A Transparency I must
Step back mentally.

Relate to Being
As a Transparency through which
The Living Light Shines

Present Awareness
Is a Transparency in
Which All Being Plays.

Being's a Vibrant
Transparency or Eye now
Witnessing What Is.

Re1: "Our real power comes from being a transparency for the Divine." Lee Coit  ("Being," pg. 62)

Re2: "But man, proud man,
Drest in a little brief authority,
Most ignorant of what he ’s most assured,
His glassy essence, like an angry ape,
Plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven
As make the angels weep."

(Shakespeare: "Measure for Measure". Act ii. Sc. 2.  [text])

that were inspired by the two referenced quotes.]

Haiku of the Day (Yes and No)

Re: Do you believe in reincarnation?

I take it the previous "tracer" was off the mark, so let's try it this way:

Yes, while I believe
I Am other than I AM
In Spirit and Truth.

No, when I Know
I Am the Self-Awareness
Of the Absolute.

[Rich Note; "All I can truly say is: 'I AM', all else is inference."  (Sri Nisargadatta ("I AM THAT", 119).]

Haiku of the Day (Peace Be Unto You)

Re: Gangaji Twit:  "What do you want for yourself, for all victims and all victimizers? What do you want for all?" (2:32pm - 15 Jun 14)

What I want for All,
As Myself, Dear Gangaji,
Is Absolute Peace.

"It is Peace I ask for Father,
Perfection I long to See;
Yet what I ask for must Be,
The Self-Same One You Are,
In the action of Being Me."

(The credit for the last quote goes to Bill Samuel in his classic "The Woodcutter and the King," (comp copy williamsamuel.com)

Hay-Ku of the Day (Attention is Love)

I give myself as
Attention to whatever
I focus upon.

As a focal Point
Of Awareness I Love
What I Attend to.

Loving Whatever
I Focus Attention on
As This Awareness.

I Am Loving what
I Focus Attention on
As This Awareness.

As the Awareness
Of God I Love that which I
Pay attention to.

As the Awareness
Of God I Love whatever
Holds my Attention.

As This Awareness
I Am I Love whatever
Holds my Attention.

As the Awareness
Of God I attract what holds
Conscious Attention.

As the Awareness
Of God I become that which
Holds my Attention.

As the Awareness
Of God I Am subject to
What Holds Attention.

Attention is Love
And Divine Sacrifice of
Present Awareness.

Attention is Love
As a sacrifice of the
Awareness I Am.

Paying Attention
Is a Self-Sacrifice of
Divine Awareness.

Hay-Ku of the Day (A Cup of Emptiness)

With Emptiness as
A Self-Reference I Am
Absolute Fullness.

With Nothing as a
Self-Reference I Am the
Awareness of God.

With the Absolute
As a Self-Reference I
Am Fullness Itself.

Re: "My Emptiness is Full
And My Silence Sings." Sri Nisargadatta

[Note to a Friend: "Still Playing" with the Buddhist "Emptiness Teachings" -- paying attention to the Inner Emptiness really is the antithesis of self-contraction; the distinction between "inherent (false) and conventional (valid) existence" also makes perfect sence.)

[Rich Note : Needed to put this into words (It's this kind of flow that caused me to take up the haiku in order put insights into conceptually manageable and digestible, bite-size chunks;-)]

"Realization of Emptiness"
simply means that, although there is a "conventional, contingent or relative reality" (which is operationally or functionally valid), there is no "Inherent Existence or Reality" in any particular form or pattern of said Absolute Divine Self-Expression; no "Inherent Individual Essence or Ultimate Reality" other than the "God Consciousness or Awareness of Being, as the Child Heart of All, that is, "In and of Itself, Being All and in All" (Re: Being Everything as the "Infinite Attributes and Qualities" of the "Father, Godhead, Nameless Absolute or Ineffable Isness," expressed in an infinitude of contingent patterns of Inherently Existent, Self-Aware, Everlasting, Intelligent Energy.)

[Rich Note: If something depends on something else in order to be (Re: is not self-existent and sustaining, in and of itself) it is Empty, insubstantial and, ultimately, has no Inherent Existence (as a "reflected image or energetic pattern of divine self-expression" that is fundamentally insubstantial; and, as such, has no inherent or lasting essence or existence, in and of itself) other than This Self-Knowing, Radiant Awareness of Being I AM, One Is and All Are.]

Re: "Form is Emptiness, Emptiness is Form" or, in Einstein's more scientifically acceptable terms,  "E=mc2".

Hay-Ku of the Day (No Frame of Self-Reference)

Re: The following Sri Nisargadatta "I AM THAT" twit:

"I find that somehow, by shifting the focus of attention, I become the very thing I look at, and experience the kind of consciousness it has; I become the inner witness of the thing. I call this capacity of entering other focal points of consciousness, love; you may give it any name you like. Love says "I am everything". Wisdom says "I am nothing". Between the two, my life flows. Since at any point of time and space I can be both the subject and the object of experience, I express it by saying that I am both, and neither, and beyond both."

If I look without
A frame of self-reference
I Am What I See.

With no local frame of
Self-reference I become
Whatever is seen.

Looking with no frame
Of self-reference all I can
Be is What I See.

Seeing without a
Frame of self-reference makes
Me Seeing Itself.

Looking without a
Frame of self-reference weds
Inside and outside.

Without a Frame of
Personal Self-Reference
I Am Awake-Space.

Without a Frame of
Personal Self-Reference
There is Only One.

Hay-Ku of the Day (Trusting Life)

Re: "What does It mean to
Trust Life?" (Gangaji Twit)

To Trust Life is to
Trust Myself as I Am prior
To self-reflection.

To Trust Life is to
Trust Myself as I Am prior
To self-conception.

To Trust Life is to
Trust Myself as I Am prior
To relative thought.

To Trust Life is to
Trust Being the Awareness
Of Being I Am.

To Trust Life is to
Trust Being the Awareness
Of God that I Am.

To Trust Life is to
Trust the Present Awareness
Of Being I Am.

To Trust Life is to
Trust the Awareness I Am
Conscious of Being.

Hay-Ku of the Day (Playing God)

OOMM Oldies:

The question is not
Whether there is a God, but
Who’s playing the role.

Actually being God can
Be a real nightmare.

Hay-Ku of the Day (A Memorial to Lewis Katz)

As One not other
Than I Am, a bell tolling
For One tolls for All.

[Rich Note: I did not know Mr. Katz, nor I did I know of him; yet, in reading the newspaper account of his sudden passing on Saturday, and his many "Good Works," the following closing quote brought a tear to my eye; as well as, a recollection of John Dunne's classic line,"Ask not for whom the bell tolls, for it tolls for thee,"*** to mind:

"It's never a perfect day unless you help someone who can never hope to repay you." Lewis Katz

(***Re: From the end of Donne's Meditation 17, Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, Morieris. {Now this bell tolling softly for another, says to me, Thou must die} :

"...No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manner of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee..." -- John Donne.)]
