Hay-Ku of the Day (Self-Equation)

"How dare you bother
About others when you don't
Fully know yourself."

[Rich Note: A near natural haiku paraphrase of the last sentence of the first reply by Sri Nisargadatta, from the following page 51 extract (which carried a "direct hit message" for yours truly) from "Consciousness and the Absolute":

"...Q: Then these others do not have the knowledge, and that's why they come back?

M: You speak for yourself! Other people may be more knowledgable then you, why do you equate them with you? You have committed a grave offense by equating these people with the level of your wisdom. Take care of yourself, don't worry about others. How dare you bother about others when you do not fully know yourself?

Q: There is some link which binds us together.

M: Never criticize others..."

(Q=Questioner; M: Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj) ]
