Hay-Ku of the Day (Unitive Principle)

(Eagle vs Snake Photograph)

Eagle vs Snake © 2009; The Mexican coat of arms of an “eagle conquering a snake” has a number of other good symbolic interpretations (re: good over evil, the sun over the earth), but the one I most prefer is the Ultimate Triumph of Spirit (as Pure or Non-Dual Consciousness) over Flesh (as carnal, egocentric mind and/or consciousness), and the Self-transcendance and resurrection so implied (re: "I Am he who liveth and was dead; and behold, I Am alive forever more. Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Rev 18-1); Companion haiku: Accompanying.

A “coin” bridges its
Sides as Consciousness bridges
Inside and outside.

A “coin” bridges its
Sides as Consciousness bridges
Subject and object.

A “coin” bridges its
Sides as Consciousness bridges
Myself and others.
