Hay-Ku of the Day (All Seeing Eye/I)

[Rich Note: Companion image may be viewed at rfhay333.gather.com.]

(Single Eye Photograph)

Single Eye: The "Great Seal" on the dollar bill is reminiscent of the metaphor of an equilateral triangle in which the "All Seeing Eye" (Eye of God) at the apex sees from Alpha to Omega on the Base (as a representation of All Time) all at once; Companion haiku: Accompanying.

If thy "mental eye"
Be single thy whole body
Will be full of Light.

A "Single Eye" means
A Unified State of Mind
Or Pure Consciousness.

[Rich Note: These came to mind while working on the previous "Being the Seeing" pieces and paraphrase Jesus" Matthew 6:22 saying. More interesting, however, is that when I checked to see how close the paraphrase was to the original (which follows) I found that it was itself a haiku (at least in the KJV and with respect to a 5-7-5 formulation.]"

If therefore thine eye
Be single, thy whole body
Shall be full of light." (Matt 6:22)
